Launched in the morning to partly sunny and seasonable (50s and rising). No wind and an incoming tide.
Slow current.
Trolled down working the channel edges with no hits. Tossed for some drum and no hits. Trolled the shallows again and no hit. Did see some fish working the top in the channel and tossed the top water Mirrolure with no hits. Tossed the jig and got some small/short strikes but no hook ups. Moved over to work Little Island and found some fish working the top around the mouth of the creek. Tossed the Gulp and immediately hooked up. Skunk off the boat with a perch. Next cast, perch. Next cast, perch. All were caught in 1'-2' of water.
Perch saved the skunk today.
